Goshen, NY – Alison Esposito, 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and Candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, slammed Kathy Hochul this morning after Politico reported she wants to push the implementation of congestion pricing, originally set for June 30th, to beyond the November election to protect vulnerable New York Democrats. Alison Esposito issued the following statement:
Kathy Hochul wants to delay the implementation of congestion pricing because it will cost her party votes in November. Just like Joe Biden, who is playing politics with the border, Congestion Kathy is putting politics first and playing with your wallet. If a policy is so bad it will cost you votes, maybe it shouldn’t be implemented in the first place. I am once again calling on Kathy Hochul to permanently stop her congestion pricing tax on hardworking New Yorkers. If New Yorkers continue to elect Democrats, they will say one thing and do another. Once the election ends, Hochul will turn around and continue to enforce this disastrous policy. We can’t let them get away with this.
