For Immediate Release:

GOSHEN, NY – On October 2, 2024, Alison Esposito, a 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and Candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, received the endorsement of the New York State Union of Police Associations (NYSUPA). The New York State Union of Police Associations is a highly regarded statewide labor organization that effectively represents police officers, deputy sheriffs, and other law enforcement professionals across New York State. With a membership of over 4,000, NYSUPA collaborates with independent local Police Benevolent Associations (PBAs) and Associations, spanning thirty three counties in the state.

With nearly 25 years as a NYPD Officer, we are confident that you understand the issues that are facing the men and women of Law Enforcement. Your opposition to cashless bail, the HALT Act and Raise the age show that you use commonsense in your decision making, and commonsense is lacking in Washington DC. Most importantly, your steadfast opposition to de-funding the police and to ensuring that Law Enforcement Officers throughout NY and across the country do not lose their qualified immunity clearly shows that you are the best choice to serve the people of the 18th Congressional District.

Anthony Solfaro, President of the New York State Union of Police Associations.

Esposito was previously endorsed by the NYPD Superior Officers Association Retired, the New York 10-13 Association, Westchester Policemen’s Benevolent Association Inc., Sergeants Benevolent Association, Lieutenants Benevolent Association, the Captains Endowment Association, Police Conference of New York (PCNY).
