GOSHEN, NY – Today, Alison Esposito, a 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, issued the following statement regarding news of anti-Israel protestors blocking commuter traffic across the U.S. on Monday, including on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge over the Hudson River:
Anti-Israel protestors blocking bridges, endangering the lives of New Yorkers and causing chaos on our roads is domestic terrorism, and completely unacceptable. I am grateful to the New York State Police for taking these individuals into custody and ensuring the safety of all travelers on Monday. I will always support someone’s right to protest, but blocking traffic and blockading commuters is not the way.
Alison Esposito
