For Immediate Release:

GOSHEN, NY – Today, Alison Esposito, 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, issued the following statement responding to reports of pro-Hamas protestors setting up encampments on campus at Vassar College.

Across the country, and now right here in the Hudson Valley at Vassar College, we are seeing Pro-Hamas rioters set up encampments on campuses. If students are breaking rules, they MUST be held accountable, either through permanent expulsion or arrest. We have seen firsthand at Columbia University what happens when weak leadership allows students to cause mayhem. I will always support PEACEFUL protests, however, several Universities have completely lost control, and we have to restore normalcy to these institutions. There should be zero tolerance for violence or property damage, nor should we tolerate disgraceful antisemitic attacks directly aimed at intimidating Jewish students.

Alison Esposito

Esposito has been outspoken in calling on academic leadership to swiftly condemn the recent antisemitic attacks on college campuses. On Tuesday, she joined Fox and Friends First to discuss the troubling events at Columbia University.
