Goshen, NY – Today, Alison Esposito, 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, issued the following statement condemning the recent rise in antisemitism on college campuses. Esposito has been outspoken in calling on leadership to condemn antisemitism. On Sunday calling for leadership to swiftly condemn the recent antisemitic attacks on college campuses. She posted the following statements on Twitter and Facebook.
The Hamas terrorist attack on October 7 has led to an appalling rise in antisemitism on college campuses across America. This is disgusting. It’s an absolute disgrace that the safety of any student can be jeopardized by violence and physical intimidation tactics at the hands of angry mobs.
Leaders who fail to condemn the vile antisemitic behavior we are increasingly witnessing on college campuses like that spewed at Columbia University and Yale over the weekend must be held accountable. It’s critical that leaders take action to ensure the safety of students and investigate universities to remove all forms of antisemitic discrimination from our college campuses.
