GOSHEN, NY – Today, Alison Esposito, a 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, issued the following statement following reports of violent attacks from migrants on police officers at Randall’s Island:

Our police officers are facing the brunt of the border and migrant crisis, as we take in unvetted criminals and house them in New York every day. This pattern of violence, crime, and lawlessness will only continue as long as Congressman Pat Ryan and the far-left continue to vote in lock-step with the Biden Administration’s open border and sanctuary city policies.
